Push-X in the XPC 2,5 PCB connector
Phoenix Contact is extending the series of PCB connectors with innovative Push-X technology to include a new connector for conductor cross-sections up to 2.5 mm². Push-X technology makes it possible to connect flexible and rigid conductors quickly and with virtually zero effort. Following the principle of a mousetrap, the conductor is caught simply by inserting it into the connector. Clamping contacts ensure the long-term and reliable connection of rigid and flexible conductors with or without ferrules. When the conductor is inserted into the clamping space, it strikes the release element which then, with very little force, releases the contact spring. The pretensioned contact spring then permanently clamps the conductor with a defined force. An audible release sound and the changed position of the high-contrast orange release button tell the user that the conductor connection has been secured. Tool-free Push-X connection reduces mounting times and the costs associated with crimping are eliminated. As conductor connection requires little effort, this simplifies automation. The release button is used to release the conductor and pretension the contact spring at the same time. The XPC 2,5 connector is compatible with the Combicon Connectors M product range with 5.08 mm pitch from Phoenix Contact. This results in numerous possible combinations covering a wide range of application versions.

PVA Coating Robot

QMAX - R&D Testing Software
A QMAX system consists of 2 main components. 1. Firstly the QMAX HMI (Human Machine Interface) available for PC or mobile phones. It offers user panels for system configuration, sample configuration, sequence editing, sample monitoring, real-time presentation of measurement data in graphs and gauge. All items are saved as easily shareable .ih files. 2. A QMAX Engine which manages all measuring, controlling, monitoring and sequence execution. The engine is run on a real-time computing system such as as cRIO or PXI. For "lighter" applications using only a PC is sufficient.

QRM - Quality Result Management
QRM consists of 3 major components: • A Database – The test data repository in SQL Server • A Storage System – Storing and synchronizing test data over the internet using ATML and web services to the database in a robust and secure way • A Presentation and Analysis System – Presentation, report and statistical analysis of test data through a web page Each test station has QRM storage clients post the test results as ATML XML reports to a HTTP web service that will forward data over a secured network connection or store test results to the QRM result database. The service is very robust and for example, if network is temporary unavailable, the service will retry over and over until it succeeds. Sites can be connected by the distributed architecture of QRM. By using the QRM Web application, test results can be viewed and analyzed as they are produced.

QTM - Quality Test Management
QTM consists of two parts: Web Server Application • Provides an instant overview of active client stations, sync status and package installation status. • Software distributed as zip, files, msi installers or NI packages (nipkg). Published to all station clients on a site location or individual station clients with automatic processing and installation of packages with manual action option. • Define articles and publish to a site location or individual station clients. Option to define properties such as key-values and include additional information, Bill-of-Materials (BOM) structure, label information and serial number structure. Firmware packages are assigned to articles so that the correct article configuration is available at the test stations. QTM can also be used as serial number generator. • Provides user management with different authorization levels from administrator to local station users. Accessible via the API, meaning that the same users that are configured in QTM can be used in the test program. Local Station Client Application • Executes as a Windows service and is always connected to the master client service and keeps packages, articles and firmware synchronized and up to date. • Monitors local status and enables required manual actions using a browser. • REST API allows test software to query QTM for required information such as: station articles (including article information, firmware, labels, serial generators, bill-of-materials structure, and test sequences), station settings and connection status to server. • REST API provides methods to check QTM master connection and synchronization to prevent problems that are caused by the network connection being lost which may result in production running without the latest changes. • Option for test software to report current test status whether station is running or not to QTM through the API.
