Laser hardening
Laser Hardening Laser hardening is a method for selectively increasing the hardness and wear resistance of metallic materials. This technique offers high precision and minimal distortion, making it ideal for components that require local hardening without subsequent machining. During laser hardening, the surface is quickly heated by the laser beam to a temperature where the material transforms into austenite. It is then rapidly cooled by the surrounding material, resulting in a hard martensitic structure. This process produces a surface with high hardness and wear resistance while retaining internal toughness. Almost all types of steel gain increased hardness after laser hardening.

Laser marking
Laser Marking Laser marking is a fast technique for industrial marking and traceability marking that works on most materials. Laser marking using the annealing method or the engraving method is useful for, among other things: Traceability with serial numbers Logos on branded goods and giveaways Barcodes/datamatrix for applications that are scanned before use About laser marking Laser marking is a process where a laser beam is used to create permanent marking on various materials by altering their surface, for example by burning, melting or vaporisation. The technique provides high precision and durability.

Laser welding
Laser welding – a welding method with precision Laser welding can be used for various types of joints and joint geometries. By varying optics and laser power, everything from thin foils to thick castings can be welded. Thanks to the laser’s high energy density, neither high melting temperature nor high thermal conductivity of the material creates any problems. Many materials that normally cannot be welded with conventional methods can be laser-welded. This is due to the minimal weld melt and good control of cooling rate. In many cases, no filler material is required. In laser welding both the heat-affected zone around the weld and the total heating of the workpiece are significantly less compared with conventional arc welding. This results in lower deformations and in many cases better strength properties. Thanks to its stability and low profile costly post-processing can be minimised or eliminated.
